I have a HP Pavilion dv6 laptop with 64bit Windows7. I remarked yesterday, that that the explorer preview didn't more work for PDF-files, although it still worked for text, Word documents and some picture file types. Then I thought, that maybe Adobe had made a new version of the Reader program. Thank you very much, I had the problem in my Windows 10 entered the Adobe help tab and selected Correct Adobe Reader installation.
After trying several online solutions, still didn't work, but I reckoned the issue must be default program setting.. However, just fiddling with some of the options for example enabling PDF thumbnail previews and hitting OK fired up the installer and fixed the previewer problem in Outlook.

I have the same question Report abuse. So if she logs on to a different machine it fails there as well, but if someone else logs onto those machines it works for them?
Are you using roaming profiles? Redirected folders? Something must be transferring between the machines if that is the case. System center set up to keep some settings? I am dealing with the same issue here. I did notice that the program AcroRd I end tasked all the AcroRd Double clicking on the PDF file also does not work.
Personally this Outlook has been nothing but problems from day 1 and I wouldn't be surprised if this is an Outlook issue and not a Adobe PDF issue. I have a same problem - did the fixes before and it worked.. I dont understand. Installed Foxit, set Foxit to handle the previewing for Outlook.
Went into a local pdf file that Foxit set itself as the default handler to open, right-clicked, changed the previewer for this and all other pdf files to Acrobat 9. To continue this discussion, please ask a new question.
